"Hey, it was great meeting you last night. You should give me a call if you ever decide to take a trip to Oregon. My # is ___ - Matt"

On November 10th in 2012, Matt and Lauren both attended a wedding in New Haven, CT. Matt, cousin of the bride, flew in from Oregon to celebrate. Lauren, childhood friend of the bride, and her bridesmaid, came from New Jersey. During the reception at the New Haven Lawn Club, Matt and Lauren were introduced by the bride's older sister who knew they were both single, and possibly, perfect for one another. Lauren awkwardly said hello and ran away with nerves. It was not until the after party at the Omni Hotel when Matt and Lauren really started to talk. They spoke until the bar was shut down, and said good night.

The next morning, Lauren received the above text message, and as they say, the rest is history. Matt and Lauren began to Facebook message and text daily, which turned into phone calls, which turned into Skype dates. Matt booked a flight to New Jersey in December of 2012 to spend the weekend. Lauren called everyone in her family in tears about how much she adored Matt after dropping him back at the airport. The following month Lauren took a trip out to Oregon, and the two officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.

For months Matt and Lauren traveled back and forth between Oregon and New Jersey to see each other and the relationship grew stronger. In the Summer of 2013 Lauren canceled her return flight to New Jersey and spent the month in Oregon. When she left to go back to New Jersey, a plan was put into action on how they could both officially be and live together.

In September of 2013, Matt moved to Hoboken, NJ into a 3 bed 1.5 bathroom where Lauren was already living with two roommates and in January of 2014, they purchased a home to make their own in Montclair, NJ.

The two are inseparable and are excited to spend every single day together forever more.
